Consumer health-data notice
This standalone notice is the binding statement referenced from our privacy summary and site footer.
What we collect
The bills, explanations of benefits, and denial letters you upload, the intake answers you provide about your claim, and the account email address you sign in with. We deliberately do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, or insurance member/account/guarantor numbers - our extraction schemas have no field for them.
How we use it
To audit your bill or draft your appeal, and to deliver the resulting report to you. With the consent you give when creating a case, uploaded documents may be kept in a small internal test corpus used only to measure and improve how accurately BillComb reads bills, EOBs, and denial letters. That corpus is never used to train machine learning models and never leaves BillComb. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
Original uploaded documents are deleted automatically 90 days after upload. You can delete a case - and every document and report tied to it - at any time from your account page; deletion is immediate and irreversible, and it also removes the case's documents from the internal test corpus.
Consent
We only process your documents after you affirmatively agree to this notice when creating a case. We record the version of this notice you agreed to and the date.
BillComb provides information, not legal or medical advice.
